Description

Hely Recessed LED Taxiway Light for Heliports 6W

The Hely recessed LED taxiway light is an inset ground fitting for heliports. It is installed in the pavement of taxiways and of the FATO area, the final approach and take-off zone. It emits blue light within the CIE chromaticity boundary, giving operators a night marking that survives traffic loads, standing water and washing.

Benefits

  • Adjustable visibility: the output above 2 cd is commanded in 10%, 30% and 100% steps from the heliport controller.
  • Survives submersion: IP X8 protection and the anti-condensation valve keep water and moisture away from the optic.
  • Works at both extremes: the -55 to +55 degrees C range covers frost as well as severe summer heat.
  • Corrosion tested: salt fog testing to IEC 60068-2-11 and IEC 60068-2-25, a nickel-plated flange and stainless screws protect the fitting in aggressive coastal air.
  • Minimal load: the high-power OSRAM LEDs draw only 6W, so one controller can feed many fittings on the same circuit.
  • Easy to service: 1.5 kg and aluminium alloy construction simplify handling in the field.

Applications and installation

The fitting serves heliports: taxiways, the final approach and take-off area and guidance markings. Install it inset in the pavement, with the top flush to the surface. Choose the 48V DC version if your heliport controller supports dimming; for simpler installations the 90-230V AC version connects directly to the mains. Salt fog testing, the +55 degrees C ceiling and UV protection make the Hely recessed LED taxiway light a sound choice for coastal and rooftop heliports in the Gulf.

Frequently asked questions

Can the light be dimmed? Yes, in the 48V DC version fed from the controller. The available steps are 100%, 30% and 10%. The 90-230V AC version is not dimmable.

Does it resist standing water? Yes. IP X8 protection allows operation even when the fitting stays submerged, and the anti-condensation valve prevents misting of the glass.

Which standards cover the photometry? The light is built to ICAO Annex 14 volumes I and II, and to IEC TS 61827 for inset and elevated fittings.
