ELM 01 PSD ATEX Lamp with Location Transmitter
The ELM 01 PSD ATEX lamp adds a location transmitter to the ELM 01 SD mining lamp, fitted in the battery cover and cast in resin. Rescue teams can then detect the position of miners through rock or through a coal seam 25 m thick. It is intended for underground workings with a potentially explosive atmosphere.
Benefits
- Location after an incident: the transmitter allows detection through rock or coal up to 25 m thick.
- Transmitter autonomy of at least 168 hours: a full week of continuous emission.
- 8 working channels in the 4100 – 5850 Hz band, so crews are identified separately.
- Operating range up to 50 m with a location distance of 25 m.
- Protected transmitter: cast in resin in the battery cover, shielded from moisture and shock.
- The same ELM 01 SD lamp: black polycarbonate housing rated IP54.

Applications and installation
Use the ELM 01 PSD ATEX lamp in mines and other potentially explosive environments, as an individual cap lamp, wherever underground personnel location is required. Charging runs through the headlamp, either in the 10, 50 or 100-station racks or with the individual headlamp charger. Plan the channel allocation together with your rescue service, so each crew is identified on its own channel. Store and charge the lamps in the surface lamp room between shifts. The lamp is designed and built in Europe.
