Polaris Portable LED Light with Radio Control
The Polaris portable LED light is a mobile airfield light for aerodromes and airports, commanded through a radio transmitter and receiver set. It fits temporary strips, emergency operations and airfields with no fixed lighting installation. You carry it out, set it on any surface, and get 3000 m visibility under visual flight rules.
Benefits
- No cables on the strip: it runs on a 12 V battery and draws under 4 mA of its own current.
- Stated visibility range: 3000 m under visual flight rules and 1500 m under special visual flight rules.
- Two signal modes: flashing or steady light, chosen to match the landing procedure.
- Battery protected: charging is held at 14.4 V (28.8 V) and cuts off on over-discharge below 30%.
- Impact-resistant body: polycarbonate with an IK10 UV-protected diffuser and an IP66 rating.
- Reaction time for the pilot: visible at least 1 minute before ground contact, at landing speeds up to 72 m/s.

Applications and installation
Polaris covers airport and aerodrome lighting: temporary marking of runways, work areas and improvised landing surfaces. It needs no fixing work. Place the body on the ground or on any surface and command it remotely by radio. The charging system accepts 12 V and 24 V batteries, following the values in brackets. The IP66 body and +50 degrees C ceiling suit desert deployments. Designed and manufactured in Europe.
