Description

Aiming Heliport LED Light 10W Aiming Point

The Aiming heliport LED light shows the pilot the aiming point targeted during the landing procedure. It suits hospital pads, offshore platforms and private helidecks that need a lit marker to ICAO Annex 14 Volume 2. The 10 W body emits white light above 100 cd and runs from the heliport control panel.

Benefits

  • A clear touchdown reference: luminous intensity above 100 cd, white within the CIE Chromaticity Boundary.
  • Three intensity levels: 10%, 30% and 100% from the control panel, for day, dusk and night.
  • Simple installation: it draws power straight from the lighting control panel, with no extra driver.
  • Mains alternative: an optional 90-230 V 50/60 Hz version for sites without a dimming panel.
  • Outdoor durability: electrostatically painted aluminium, UV-protected diffuser, IP66 and IK10.
  • Compact: D90 x 105 mm and 0.8 kg, so it does not clutter the landing area.

Applications and installation

The Aiming light belongs to the heliport lighting family and works together with the FATO and TLOF lights and the system control panel. Install it at the aiming point set out in the lighting layout. Choose the panel supply if you want dimming, or the 90-230 V supply if a fixed intensity is enough. The IP66 housing withstands dust and the strong water jets used to wash a deck. Designed and manufactured in Europe.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Aiming heliport LED light differ from the FATO light? Aiming marks the point the pilot targets, while FATO outlines the final approach and take-off area. Their electrical and mechanical data are the same.

Can I use it without the control panel? Yes, with the 90-230 V 50/60 Hz supply option, but you cannot then adjust the intensity.

Does it survive rain and deck washing? Yes. The IP66 rating covers dust and powerful water jets.
