Description

Sirius LED Airport Guidance Sign 12W/m

The Sirius LED airport guidance sign shows direction and position information to pilots at civil and military airfields. It was designed to connect to the power sources already present on an aerodrome. Airport operators therefore solve taxiway signage without laying dedicated circuits, and with a very low running load.

Benefits

  • Fits the existing installation: the sign accepts standard AGL circuits of 2.2-6.6A or 4.8-6.6A, as well as 120/230V AC.
  • Information that lasts: the 4 mm front panel is UV-stabilised polycarbonate and the legend is guaranteed for 10 years.
  • Long service life: the high-power OSRAM LEDs are rated at 100,000 hours.
  • Only 12W per metre: operating cost stays low even across long, multi-panel sign runs.
  • Wide temperature range: operation from -50 to +55 degrees C, with IP65 protection against dust and water.
  • Light and rigid: the anodised aluminium housing gives the best compromise between weight and stiffness on frangible mounts.

Applications and installation

The Sirius LED airport guidance sign marks taxiways, intersections and holding positions. State the supply available on site when ordering: a constant-current AGL circuit or a 120/230V AC mains feed. Text and symbols on the panel are agreed with you and follow the aerodrome signage plan. The rated ceiling of +55 degrees C, the IP65 housing and the UV-stabilised panel suit Gulf airfields, where surface heat, blown sand and strong sunlight all attack conventional signage.

Frequently asked questions

Can I power the sign from a series AGL circuit? Yes. The sign is supplied, on request, for AGL circuits of 2.2-6.6A or 4.8-6.6A. A 120/230V AC version is also available.

How well does the legend hold up in sunlight? The 4 mm polycarbonate panel is UV protected, and the displayed information is guaranteed for 10 years.

Which regulations does it cover? ICAO Annex 14 3rd edition, FAA 150/5345-44F, EASA CS-ADR-DSN and Transport Canada TP312.
