Proton SS II Solar Street LED Floodlight 12 LEDs 30W 12V
The Proton SS II solar street LED floodlight runs at 12 V DC, straight from photovoltaic panels. It is built for communities, farms and residential estates where the grid is missing or expensive to extend. It draws only 30 W and delivers minimum 110 lm/W from high power OSRAM LEDs.
Benefits
- Independent of the grid: the 12 V DC input matches photovoltaic systems with battery storage.
- Consumption of 30 W: the OSRAM LEDs deliver minimum 110 lm/W, so the battery lasts more nights.
- Class III insulation: the low voltage lowers the shock risk during installation and service.
- Elliptical asymmetric light: lenses designed for the required angle concentrate the flux on the road.
- Light 1.5 kg body: the powder coated aluminium housing lifts easily onto a solar pole.
- IP66 and IK10: the luminaire withstands dust, heavy rain and impact, which suits exposed desert roads.

Applications and installation
This solar street LED floodlight fits street lighting, perimeter lighting and car park lighting. Residential, commercial and public areas all apply. You connect it to a 12 V photovoltaic system with battery storage. A standalone solar pole or an existing 12 V DC circuit also works. Fix it on a vertical pole, a bracket or a flat surface. The F marking allows normally flammable surfaces, and class III needs no protective earthing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I wire it straight to a panel? The luminaire runs at 12 V DC. Connect it to a photovoltaic system with a battery and a charge controller, which supplies a stable 12 V.
What does insulation class III mean? The unit works at safety extra low voltage. It needs no protective earth conductor.
How much energy does it use per night? At 30 W, ten hours of operation means 300 Wh. Size the battery and the panel from that figure and your required days of autonomy.
