This Approach Steady heliport LED light is the fixed-light element of a visual approach system. It serves operators building an approach line to ICAO Annex 14 Volume 2, who need high intensity above 350 cd. Eight OSRAM LEDs at 20 W guide the helicopter onto the correct approach path.

Applications and installation

The fitting belongs to heliport lighting and installs along the approach line, outside the FATO area. It works with the Hely control panel next to the FATO, TLOF and Aiming lights and the Beacon. At 155 mm high, the body stays below the usual obstacle envelope for the approach sector. Its IP66 rating suits exposed positions where dust and humidity are constant.
