Applications and installation

You install the ASTRO astronomical time switch inside the feeder pillar cabinet, on a 35 mm DIN rail. It drives the contactors of the lighting circuits. It covers street lighting, car park lighting, architectural lighting and general lighting in commercial, residential and public areas. The IP20 rating means the unit belongs inside a protected enclosure or distribution board, never in the open air.

Frequently asked questions

Must I reprogram the unit every season? No. The astronomical programme calculates sunset and sunrise for each day and changes to summer or winter time by itself.

Can I control several circuits separately? Yes, with the 3 relay version. Each relay keeps its own programme, for example street lighting on one and architectural lighting on another.

What happens during a power cut? The internal CR2032 battery keeps the time and the programme. Its rated life is 10 years.
